Discovery
Discovered two pieces of work I did not too long ago that never really saw the light of day.
This concept piece was one of five submissions I sent to a client that was later rejected.
One of my all time favorites--a comical portrait inspired by Japanese woodblock prints. I did this one for a friend as a gift to his girl.

"2 Art 4 TV" Gallery Show
Opening night for the 4th annual 2 Art 4 TV gallery show. About a bazillion people showed up and crammed into the small gallery. Chaos ensues and I get fined by the police for stepping out with beer can on hand. Good times!!
I didn't sell any paintings that night--perhaps I priced it to high? Maybe I shouldve noted that prices are negotiable.

The Venture Bros. Season 4 Preview!!
Adultswim posted the season 4 preview trailer of The Venture Bros. It's exciting to see from the trailer what they've done and how they've handled our backgrounds. The production team over at Korea has upped the ante once again and judging from the trailer it seems like they're really getting the hang of replicating our backgrounds. Everything looks fantastic so kudos to the guys over at Korea!!
Season 4.2 airs on October 18th at midnight so be sure to check it out.

Sketch Preview
Secret Identities

Due to my seemingly perpetual absence from blogging I have failed to post several significant events. One of them being the release of "Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology".
The anthology includes the work I did in collaboration with Yul Kwon last year along with a multitude of amazing art and stories by various artists like Gene Luen Yang, Greg Pak, and Christine Norrie. Many thanks to Jeff Yang, Parry Shen, Keith Chow, and Jerry Ma for letting me be a part of this group of talents.
The book has received rave reviews and it's available in Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and any major comic retailers near you.
